Charolette was born and raised in Paris, France. Her mother remarks when she first sees her daughter, "Oh, she has her father's eyes," which is true, as they both have sparkling green eyes. At this statement, Charolette and Mr. Oliver gain a very close bond.
One day, as she was attending her elementary school at age 9, one of the ruder children in her class insulted her. Rage filled Char's veins, cold as ice, and the oddest thing had happened; the rude child suddenly was floating about three feet off the ground, his yells of terror filling the classroom. Char panics and runs out of the classroom, into the girl's bathroom, where she can quietly recount what happened to herself.
Not much else is important up until just before her 11th birthday. Her father would often go with her on a walk about once a month or so, and a week before her 11th birthday, a snowy white owl dropped an envelope on her head, which turned out to be her invitation to Beauxbatons Academy of Magic.
